Teri is passionate about intentional living and being creative in helping people lean in and deeply connect during times when we want to pull back and shut down. Teri believes when we face the fact, we will all die we open a door to explore, create and live with intention and purpose. This view occurs naturally when one is facing their own death due to illness or aging or as we witness life changes in others.
Teri Jacobson is a Conscious Living Educator, Sacred Passage Doula, and Advanced Care Planning Facilitator. In addition, she works with those living with dementia as a Certified Dementia Practitioner focusing on enriching life in the five domains (physical, emotional, spiritual, mental and practical). She is also an Alzheimer Disease and Dementia Care Trainer bringing awareness and skills to healthcare workers, families and communities. Teri not only journeys with individuals and families but she works with organizations and Senior Living Communities to provide workshops, training and education. She volunteers for the local Hospice offering compassionate care, aroma therapy, and comfort touch modalities. She supports the Wellness House of Annapolis as a volunteer, workshop leader and educator.
Teri is passionate about intentional living and being creative in finding ways to connect, especially inside dementia and at end of this life.
Before becoming an EOL Doula, Teri worked in global mobility as a counselor for families moving worldwide. In her adult life, she often found herself supporting friends and neighbors during disease and death. In 2015 she found herself in a more intimate role journeying with a loved one. She believed she was called to this work and left the corporate world to pursue her calling.
